Ghasre Bahram Caravanserai

The Ghasre Bahram Caravanserai is a Safavid dynasty caravanserai located 154 km south of Tehran , in the stone old route of Isfahan–Kashan-Garmsar , Semnan province , Iran .

It looks like a city caravanserai , The exterior of caravanserai is square shaped and its facade is large regular lime and white stones.

The caravanserai has four tall semicircle towers and two northern-southern gates.

The caravanserai is a four iwans (porches) building and it’s rooms are surrounding a central courtyard. The central courtyard is a large octagonal area with 24 rooms around it.

There is a square shaped pond in the middle of central courtyard. A large simple yard with a high arch is on eastern side of the caravanserai.

There is a broad forum on the western side of the central courtyard where has a alcove
